I have an etron since 1 month ago, drived just 1360 km (and used only half diesel tank, around 35 liters only).
Main use its to go to my factory daily, which its around 28 km away from home. As I have a charging point also there, the diesel engine don’t even start since weeks.
Today traveled almost 400 km to visit some friends in the north. Its so comfy, and the feeling of safety its so intense that its really hard to explain.
The car its fully loaded with all extra equipment possible, and the security makes strange to drive till one gets used to it, but when you “learn” how to drive with all the help of electronics, its amazing !
When we returned back home in the night, a really bad weather was during all way back in the highway, with a terrific storm, wind and heavy rain.
Driving 135 km/hour, while lane assist ensures to keep the right path, matrix lights punch the rain and speed control takes care of the speed, even the recognition of signals makes the car to brake alone when arrive to the toll area !
And all this while listening music on B&O equipment, getting a massage by the seats, in a silent environment, make the journey really unique.
Can’t imagine othe car with such driving refinement and technology to help the driver feels secured with the family.
Awesome indeed, thank you Audi for create such a beast !!

    Hi
Totally agree!! The Q7 e-tron is a strange car: I have done 28,000km in 11 months and it's both a great city car : mostly electric (maybe slightly big :-0) & a great long distance car, my teenage sons say it's the best ever for long trips: better than previous VW Phaeton which I had for many years.
Average 58mpg (4.05 l/100Km) in that time. And with V6 & electric combined it's surprisingly quick when required. So for me as a modern luxury car it's hard to beat. Silent/ smooth/ flexible/ economical.

Agree on the assistance systems, it takes some time to get accustomed to ACC & Predictive drive/ lane assist, but I could never go back to a "normal" car. And the matrix lights are magic...
    Enjoy!

    Hugh

Thank you Hugh, enjoy yours also with health, we both can be very proud of our cars, indeed they are a block of solid german technology, I had a previous model Q7, and it was great also, but the actual one it’s other dimension of refinement and security. Best regards from Spain.

Well said! I’ve not got e-tron and very jealous of the fuel consumption eco credentials plus extra performance, however I do use the 7 seats for kids... Only general downside of Q7 I find is its massive size, particularly length. Longer than a full fat Range Rover (5cm) and only marginally narrower (3cm). Don’t have 4 wheel steering mind you. On the other hand you can fill it with a lot of stuff! And it’s ok for mild softroading, I had to drive through a flood earlier on c. 40cm I just jacked up the suspension it was fine.

I'm seriously considering a Q7 (or whatever badge it is at the time) E-Tron for my next car in X number of years but the deal breaker for me is the 7 seats. If they can sort those batteries out and give 7 seats + E-Tron I'm already sold.

    Enjoy the cars guys!
