I’ve got an issue with a recently purchased 2013 A6 Avant 2.0tdi 177 s line. When accelerating from low revs, half to full throttle, the whole car judders quite badly until around 3,000 revs and is then smooth. At first I thought DMF/Clutch but there’s no noise, I read about similar issues on C6 models and some VW’s including inner CV joints and injector looms? Any ideas? Is this a known issue?

does the judder stop if you ease off the throttle or take your foot off completely (ie. overrun)

Code read with VCDS. If no codes then could be drive shaft joints, but kinda low miles for that.

could well be flywheel at that mileage, do you notice any rattle if you change down a gear quickly, say 4 to 3 in overrun and let the gearbox drive engine revs up? that was how I first noticed early signs of flywheel going on a car I had, but a scan would be worthwhile as well. Since from your first description the judder seems to be engine speed related rather than road speed related I wouldn't think it was driveshafts.

Because it judders under load, flywheel seems to not be at fault.
Had similar issue on Passat, when drivers side inner joint was worn and car had judder under load at low and middle RPM.
Also was more noticeable when wheel was slightly turned right or left not completely straight.

What gearbox is in your car?
You don't say if it manual, STronic or Multitronic.

Hi did you purchase trade or private? If trade I would take it back and get them to locate and resolve the problem, good luck
