Hi all I'm still on my first car (mum's old Polo) and will be selling it and upgrading to something a little more exciting. Firstly - I have a few concerns about how taxes work with selling cars as I haven't done before and don't have the slightest clue on how it works. Will I pay any tax on selling it? I've looked through this income tax website (here) but not totally sure that's what I want. Can someone explain the financial side of selling a car privately briefly?

My next question. I'm looking at a new ish Seat Ibiza. Brand new ones have a great looking infotainment system that I quite like the look of, but they're much more expensive than last gen, the infotainment of which I don't particularly like the look of. Is it worth being picky bearing in mind the price differences? Would it be worth looking at a different VW Group car in this class?

    Thanks in advance

No tax selling a car. Try a car selling website to give you an idea of price. You could also part exchange it against the new car but try and get at least as much as the online valuation.
I think Seat are doing 4 years 0% interest on new cars so you might be better off doing that depending on how you are planning on financing your next car.
The Polo and Fabia are the same class. I haven't driven a new polo but the Fabia is very good but a much softer ride than the Ibiza
