    Hi There !
I have been struggling with a vibration coming from the front right wheel of my allroad.

All wheel balancing, tire and brake issues have been ruled out.

Next Wednesday I will be taking the car to the dealership for a potential Drive Shaft replacement.

Has anyone had this part replaced? Under witch symptoms? I am being recommended to replace the whole thing + wheel bearing.

    Thank You

    Best Regards

Its rare to have a faulty driveshaft. Inner and outer cv joints are wear n tear items and its the norm to replace those. Ive only ever replaced these on cars ive known to have some accidental damage to its side

Thenk you for the reply !

I suspect there was some damage that caused this.

The cost of both CV joints is almost the same as the whole thing.

My doubts are on the simptoms it might cause.. chassis vibration on that side , specially when turning over that wheel.

    BEst regards

I suggest you find a good quality used one from a low mileage car. Check ebay for used parts. Unless Audi dealer is confirming 100% that a new driveshaft will rectify the issue. If not dont pay us. Then fine use them.

could be the tyre pattern or a slightly buckled wheel casuing it too. Try swapping the wheels around to see if the problem moves with it.
