Hi guys,

Just after I bought my Passat B8 last year I noticed the rear driver side door did not close flush (I think it may have been previously sprung in the wind). I took it back to the garage and they fixed it. Since then I noticed when you look down the driver’s side of the car from the front the mid section of the rear door sits a couple of mm proud of the rear of the front door when closed. As it’s not the end of the world, just an annoying niggle, I eventually got around to trying to move the front door striker out a fraction, but I have found there is little to no movement in the striker plate due to the recesses the bolts tighten into. When you tighten the bolts the striker plate moves back to it’s original position. Any ideas?! Is there a way of moving the front of the rear door a fraction closer to the car?

cheers!
