    Hi

I have a B7 Passat 2lt TDI estate with a m/f/s 2012. I am totally dependent on sat nav on trips, my car does not have this so i thought - no problem I will get a state of the art TomTom. So i am crest fallen that the cigar lighter and the 12v socket at the back of the consul are not working!!!!
The 12v supply in the boot section is working, I have checked the fuses in the fuse box at the end of the right-hand side of the dashboard a 20amp & 15amp and they are fine. I have even tried with taking the child locks off as well.
Electrics is not a strong point for me and I would welcome some advice on how to sort this issue?

    Thanks in advance,
    Kind regards,
    Jonny

All I can add is that fuse 41 (20A) is the one to double check. They only work with the ignition switched on...yes I know but I had to mention it.

According to my manual the child locks aspect mentioned in the manual is only for cars fitted with 115/240 volt sockets.
