Find a motor factors who deals with AMC heads and ask them to get a price on a 910703 or the 910703K which comes with bolts, they also do the 910803 with valves and springs plus the K version. I would not trust any other make except genuine.

I can get a refurbished Audi head from the Netherlands delivered for 730 euros(about £650) including valves so may go with this. A new AMC head with valves is about £1000.The new head would be risk free but I don't
think it's worth spending £1k on a head for an 8 year old car.

I don't agree with this modern attitude towards what to me is still a young car, especially in that is full EU5 petrol car and so won't be attacked by all these knee jerk clean air zones coming in over Europe and doesn't go with our modern sustainable future concept, but it is not my car or my money so non of my business. With it being EU5 petrol you could see the value rise as these new zones come in but this Brexit nonsense seems to have pushed it out of the news.
