Hi all, wondering if anyone is able to help?

I was driving last week 70mph on cruise control when my Golf 1.6TDI Bluemotion (105) flashed the glow plug warning light several time, the car stumbled (also displayed 'start/stop error' on MFD. I pulled over, turned the car off. (no error lights stayed illuminated on dash). Turned the car back on again and there was no sign of any problem.

I took the car to get vag com scanned at a garage where there was an error (not sure of the code) - saying 'Cylinder 3'.

I hadn't had this problem again until today where I was driving, cruise control was knocked off (same as before), car stumbled and glow plug list was flashing. Although I had no start stop error this time (could be because I didn't try to change gear to keep my speed up like last time?).

Does anyone have an idea what this could be? Mechanic checked DPF value (which was around -0.02g) and the EGR was working.

I appreciate any help from you all!

The CAYC is extremely prone to injector failure and they have been revised a few times, the new part number is 03L 130 277 S and they cost £509.50 genuine VW. They are available from other sources including reconditioned but we and others have had so much trouble with non VDO Siemens units that we have given up and at the moment non genuine ones are in short supply. A new injector MUST be coded into the engine using its IMA number which is printed on the top.

Thanks for that Crasher. I have the fault code it's (P020300) - Cylinder 3 injector Circuit. This is intermittent at the moment so I am looking at getting this changed before it causes too much trouble. Have you ever installed a new injector on the CAYC and recoded it using VCDS? I'm interested in the process. It seems rather straight forward and i'm technically minded. I'm more concerned about buying a Delphi injector by accident as I have heard they need a different software to be coded into the car?
