    Car: 2008 Audi A4 B8 Sline 2.0 Tdi 170

So long story short, I went away for a week and came back to a flat battery. Jumped started it and all was fine but the next day it did it again.
After a bit of diagnostics it looked like the battery was bad which i believe was the OEM battery so not bad going for 10 year old.

Anyway old battery was a Varta with part no. 8K0 915 105 F so went onto the Varta website, put in that number and it came back with a Varta i1 Silver Dynamic 610 402 092

So managed to source one and fitted it, car started up and I thought that was all done and dusted.

Just come out to drive to the shops and nothing is working!! Car starts fine but is complaining about all sorts

    Parking brake malfunction
    headlights
    wipers don't work
    indicators don't work etc etc

Ran VCDS and pretty much every component has a fault and some unreachable.

Can someone explain please as to what I have done/not done correctly?

    Thanks in advance

Delete all faults, it is normal if you swap dead battery and not having other power source connected that time!

Sorry to question but would that prevent VCDS from reading the Address 09: Cent. Elect too?

    Thanks

No, you should have access to all modules regardless...now stupid "all fuses check" and hopefully it will solve your issue, but still delete all faults first which you can!

Checked as many fuses that I know about

Cleared all the faults and just as many came back mainly moaning about "Control Module for network (j519)"

I cannot get to the Cent. Electrics on VCDS it just says cannot be reached

Very odd result if j519 really "burned out - dead" due battery swap!
