    On my 06 mk5 1.9 tdi bkc engine code


    Giving a code for p0299 on vcds


    No leaks from boost pipes or intercooler
    Actuator on turbo seems to be moving fine
    Some oil/carbon buildup on the top anti-shudder flap hose joint
    A bit smokey when being revved


    Any ideas?

    Ive seen a few P0299 - 000 - Control Range Not Reached and they have all been new or reconditioned turbos required, take it out and have a look is the only option left.
