    I can use the MyAudi app to send addresses. Not POIs btw - that seems to fail. But I used the send from google. At work I used to to just search on my PC and send. Job done. Signal on my phone is pants where I am at work, so now I would need to go outside, get a decent signal to use the app. Job done of a fashion. This whole Audi connect is all getting a bit rubbish now. No street view anymore, can't send to car and likely google maps will go too. The 2 main apps are next to useless (MMI Connect and MyAudi) - I have another one too called 'mobile' lol, which doesn't even exist anymore on the Playstore - but is more useful than the other two. The ratings on Playstore tell you how bad the apps are (2.4 and 2.7). If I where an Audi head honcho I'd be asking questions as to why this whole thing has ended up like this. People must be constantly bothering dealers with questions, which they don't have a clue about either. I bet I'm not the only one who has the pin on a bit of paper behind the sun visor, as when I do decide to use an Audi Connect feature I have to enter the PIN again. Why??

    I'm also now getting 'you are not the main user' error in MyAudi - don't know what it means, or the implications of it.

    After going through deleting my MyAudi account and\or cars it is still the same. What was a quick and painless procedure from Google Maps is now a pain to do.

    However reading a couple of other sites it seems like it is likely to be a bug that has been introduced. A few people have reported fixing it by changing the Audi Account Name for Google Maps and then updating the Account\Device ID in Google Car Settings. It appears that something along the way does not like the @ symbol and since the default for this was the email address then they all stop working.

    I suspect it's a bug something to do with the encoding being passed and what we think goes through is different.

    Unfortunately the fix seemed to be on the old website now the "beta" site has gone fully live it is missing this functionality (or at least I can't find it) to change the account name

    It's a shame as it should be an easy fix to do but the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing so it falls into the no longer supported category

    Well that didn't work for long - for the past two weeks or so I keep getting an error message that the server isn't responding. The only response I've had from Audi is an email asking me to participate in a survey having contacted Customer Services. Needless to say, I didn't have to use too many stars. Also, the nearest Audi dealer haven't kept their promise to get back to me so I'll keep all this on record for the next time I come to change my car.

    1. I have recently (30 July 2018) purchased a late 2017 ex Audi management low mileage Q5 2.0 S line TFSI. Having recently migrated from BMW where everything worked from Google maps with send to car, I tried without success to get everything working with Audi.

    2. Because I was sitting with the dealer 1 week later (we were transferring my private plate to the car), we contacted the Audi Connect specialist in Customer Services because the myAudi app was not working correctly. It transpired that they (Audi) have a new server and a lot of reconfiguration is going on and they are transferring users as they go along. Here is what they did.

    a. Created a new user account for me with new password and added the car to it using its VIN. I am now able to login (with some difficulty) because there are still some erroneous links in their system that send you to the USA site. Note. The new server is very very slow and you sometimes have to wait minutes to see some details because they are greyed out for while.
    b. Went through the procedure of linking this new account to the car in the MMI.
    c. Deleted the myAudi app from my Samsung S7(android) mobile and reinstalled it and logged in and was able to see all my car details in the app that are in the new account.
    d. Tested several times (searched and found a location) and sent to car with Audi Connect Customer Services person and it worked correctly every time showing in the car's list.
    e. Reinstalled Gooogle Maps on the same phone.
    f. I used Gooogle Map to find a place/location. Once found then used share and from the shared app list that appears, I selected myAudi app where you send to car. It works correctly every time.

    3. Asked about the send to car facility on a PC, because it did not work for me. I was advised that this is not supported at present on the new server. I think he said it would be addressed in the near future. In other words do not hold your breath.

    Notes.
    1. If you cannot get the above to work, you are advised to ring Audi Customer Services on 0800 699 888 or 0845 769 9777 and ask to be put forward to the knowledgeable guy or send an email to Customer Services email address customer.services@audi.co.uk
    2. You will get a case number which you need to refer to.
    3. I do have the knowledgeable guy's name if you wish to speak to him or ask that he be asked to deal with the case. I did not think it was appropriate to post it in this thread.
    4. I do have a problem connecting (in Windows 10) to the server and seeing everything inside my account using Firefox. It seems to work far better using Microsoft Edge ...not my preferred browser.

    Could be that you are still on the old server. When you are eventually migrated to the new one it might not work. There again if they have implemented the facility on the new server by then, then we all will be able to do it.

    Many thanks for sharing your experience of this issue.

    I have already spoken to Audi Customer Services, including their Connect Specialist (but can't remember his name). I did get the myAudi app to work for a few days but for the last month or so I keep getting a "server not responding" error message when I try to call up the locations on the MMI. That would be consistent with Audi screwing around on the servers etc. The specialist did tell me that it's designed to work with 4G but unfortunately my area isn't blessed with reliable 4G coverage, that said, it doesn't seem to work anywhere on my car's MMI. All the traffic news, fuel prices, weather etc comes through fine so it can't be an issue with my car or its sim card.

    The car is booked in to my local Audi dealer on Tuesday morning so I will report back after that. Given that it's over two months since I first contacted them and they have not been great in responding to my emails and phone calls, I'm not hopeful that they'll have a clue what to do.

    I've moved around the country quite a lot recently so this is the third dealer I'll have dealt with in less than two years. Despite the fact that the Audi marketing material seems to be able to find me, they haven't bothered to let me know there's a problem with these Connect functions. They also claim it's highlighted on the Audi Connect website but I can't find it. If someone has seen this posted on an Audi website, please could they share the link/URL? Thanks

    Yup think that the same problem as I have. Both the Audi app and Google maps appear to be sending to be sending and I can actually see destinations sent from Google in the Audi app but when I try to download in the car I receive “The data connection could not be opened. The server is not responding.” yet everything else is working just fine Traffic ( with some odd continuous / fictitious traffic diverts) , Petrol prices, Google Earth which suggests that data connection is good for public data and that the server is missing or my car is not authenticated against myaccout (private) on the server. Iv been trying to get to a Master Tec but they are on training courses or failing to ring back suggesting they don't know or worst case don't care!
