2006 Sharan interior lights and wing mirror indicator

All,

My interior lights don't appear to work. Recently bought the car and hadn't noticed until last night, fuse is fine, all switches turned to doors but none work.

Any ideas before I start stripping it back?

Also drivers side wing mirror indicator doesn't work, looks like I need to take the mirror glass out to get to the flasher unit.

Looking on eBay, looks like I need to buy a flasher unit and replace the whole thing....that sound about right?

Yes the repeater lamp in the mirror is not repairable, it has 3or4 leds in it. Think i paid about £17 for an oem one off ebay. As for interior lights, cant really help, but we found the loom going through the driver door shut had broken wires which caused all manner of issues with interior electrics, so might be worth checking.
