I’m going to be eyes on with this guy when he turns up

The wiring is there I just need the right fuse point and a 5/10aamp fuse

I think it was a bad installer who didn’t understand Audi electrics... he was here 3.5 hours

Looking at the picture I can see why they maybe used that fuse slot

1. Its on the top row so nothing above it is getting in the way
2. There are no "horizontal" fuses going above that slot to get in the way either

Does it need permanent power or just a switched live? if just a switched live, then just move it to a fuse that only fires up when the electrics fire up...

Well I’m using the extra battery so my understanding is that it need a switched Live to trigger continued recording and the battery would power parked mode?

But he didn’t leave the box or install stuff so no idea

I guess we will find out Friday

sounds about right, then yeah, just needs moving to another switched live fuse slot unless I'm not mistaken!

There must be open circuits which are documented. You’d think picking a spare port was the easiest part of the job

There definitely are.. the brown fuse holders are generally all switched live ancillary systems like radio, NV, telephone etc.. so make good candidates for switched live options.

That top row is all engine related I think!

Ok different fitter came out and identified that the carrier was wrong way round so the fuses 20amp and. 10amp could function as expected.

So spare port used and carrier the right way around

Camera works and changes modes faster than before as it’s clearly seeing the right voltage drops etc

Chameleon are refunding me the Audi invoice in full and have apologised.

Could have been resolved quicker but can’t complain about the service

So... fingers crossed we’re good
