    Hi,
Long time browser of this forum but never had to post until now.....
The timing chain on my gt Tsi had stretched causing the dreaded P9008 code to show up when scanned. Boost was lagging and a P2993? code relating to the fuel pump I think also logged.
Took it to a reputable mechanic Thursday who fitted the new timing chain and set the timing using the appropriate tool.
He phoned up saying it was ready but had a slight misfire on cylinder 4.
I picked it up and just took it for a test drive for a few miles, the Misfires gradually became worse so drove back to the garage and told them I wasn't happy.
When connected back up to diagnostics P0300 was showing as well as misfire codes for cylinders 1 2 and 4.
What can they have cocked up on so badly or would it be a simple loose hose or connector?
The cam shaft sensor and fuel pump codes did not show after timing chain was replaced.
Any help would be most appreciated.
    Paul

Currently in VW Wrexham where their still trying to track down a set of injectors as their technician says they are totally carbonised. These things are like hens teeth so it seems.
None available in the UK so looking to import a reconditioned set from Oz.

Finally VW realised that the the timing was out even though they said they'd already checked it on initial assessment (liars) will be trying to recover most of the money back from the original garage to cover costs as VW have said its damaged the turbo too! Misfires are no longer there but neither is boost
