    Hi,

I was a bit dumb-struck to discover today that my 2012 Golf GT 1.4 has no way of knowing which fuse is for what! "every car is different" says the handbook helpfully...

So can someone please tell me how I find out which of my fuses is for the hands free kit? I have installed an Alpine i902D-G6 head unit, which says this fuse needs removed to avoid conflicting with it.

Thanks very much for any guidance.

My handbook it totally useless for fuses, what it says:

At the time of print we are unable to provide an up-to-date overview of the locations of the fuses for the electrical consumers. This is because the vehicle is under constant development, because fuses are assigned differently depending on the equipment level and because several consumers may use a single fuse. You can get more information about the fuse layout from a Volkswagen dealership.
That is total as they should show fuses as known at this time.

I've asked at my dealer and all they do is look at ETKA for fuse ratings, they have no other info. That's why I've made loads of fuse & relay layout in PDF files. These are mainly for TDI engines but that doesn't make a big difference as it states engine codes for petrol engines.
