    Hi all
Has anybody had a Pedestrian Safety System Fault come up, warning came up on dash yesterday (airbag warning light) and car wanted to phone Audi Assist. They duly came out and diagnosed the fault but couldn't reset as Audi want to see it with the fault. Apparently there's airbags in the bumpers and the bonnet catches blow lifting the bonnet for a softer impact. I didn't even know the car had such a system.

Just picked car up from Audi, turns out they couldn’t find an actual fault and put it down to a software glitch only way to clear it was a software update.

Glad its fixed, can you find out what exactly they updated? be great to know

Yes, the bonnet air hinge things can be set off in the event a pedestrian etc hits the bonnect raising it slightly to reduce the impact on the person... there was a youtube video showing it somewhere....

Hi Michael, I have the same issue in my VW and when I was doing some research I found this group :-)
I hope my issue will be as easy as software glitch since I understood that it might be costly to change sensors and my car is just out of its warranty with VW. very ironic :-)
