2016 A6 Avant Black Edition Standard Specification

Hi All,

I'm a newbie. Just about to dive into a used Audi purchase but had a question about the standard spec on the 2016 Avant Black Edition. Anybody know if the heated front seats are standard or an optional extra?

Heated seats were options as far as I remember. Black edition was Bose, black styling and 20in rotors other than that it was same as sline

For 2016 model year heated seats were optional, for 2017 model year (built from around mid may 2016) the seats were changed to heated electric memory seats as standard as well as folding electric mirrors and a few styling tweaks. Hope this helps!

Great thanks for clarifying. I'm in the process of buying a 2016 plate (MY2016) but a part of me was wondering if I should hold out for the new plates to come out in September to see if more used MY2016 or MY2017 come up in my budget. But now I know that not going for the MY2017 means no electric memory seats (the one I'm buying has heated seats) and electric folding mirrors I think I'm going to carry on with the one I've seen.

You can still find the PDF brochures for given years/model year if you Google them.

They tended to add more things on presumably to use the stock up. So as you say electric memory seats were added.

Otter things that changed between models was the inclusion of the various parking systems and powered tail gate.

Would you happen to know what the additional powered tailgate functionality was? I thought all black edition Avant's had powered tailgates with the key used to open but not close the boot (although I know that this can be coded)

Make sure you get one with the tech pack or you'll always regret that. I made that mistake with my first A6, didn't make it the second time.

Agree with you there, as well the better map display and Google Earth etc you also get a full coloured display in instrument clusters it's also high res too and makes the standard one look like a ZX spectrum.
