Well it’s time to get rid of the A6. Don’t need a big car anymore as wife has an suv family car and the miles I’m doing I don’t really need a diesel so moving to something a bit smaller and a little quicker. Been a few niggly issues with this one but it’s been a great car to live with. The 272 with dsg is great combo.
Will still be lurking around here. You guys have been great and I will help where I can like with vcds or other stuff.
Got a few bits and pieces for sale in the for sale section. Winter wheels and some brakes bits. Pm me if you are interested.
2015 272 saloon Fl, lighting pack, 19" 10 spoke alloys, electric boot, memory seat with folding mirrors, tech pack, silver leather interior and privacy glass.

It's a real surprise for me, as you like your car very much. I would really appreciate if you will share with us new car type and the reason of the choice. Have a good luck

3 c7s,1 pre and 2 fl. I do love the A6. Comfortable, quick and overall very good package. Quattro is awesome too and with winter tyres I was unstoppable even when snow was at headlight level.

Was looking for s4/5 but couldn’t justify it as it attracts the premium car tax and higher insurance. I reckon I would be doing 3-5k a year max, probably less. So ended up getting a well specced s3 instead of a base s4/5.
I did look at other cars like focus rs which was great fun, civic type r was awesome weapon on the road , big Honda fan, but it would have looked too much like midlife crisis and reliving my youth plus the interiors weren’t that nice. So the subtle and equally as quick s3 was the choice. Plus 4wd for those not so hot days. Then it was picking enough options to keep it under premium car tax.

Will always be lurking around here. Think the A6 part is the busiest bit in this whole forum.
Still in an Audi but was so close to getting that civic.
From what I understand a lot of the vcds tweaks works across a lot of platforms so if I find anything interesting I will post it up.
Will get some pics up when I get the car in a week or so.

Great choice. If I wasn’t towing a caravan I’d get an S3. Good to hear you’re sticking around. Knowledge like yours is invaluable.

Enjoy the S3 and let us have updates from time to time.

You can fit tow bar to s3 I think. Only the rs models isn’t certified.

Not sure I’d fancy towing 1650kg with an S3. The BiTdi Avant is perfect. I’m sure the S3 could tho

Thanks for info you have given, relating to me or others. With , her in doors having a SUV & you doing such low mileage, perhaps a used RS6 would have suited better. You could have used the excuse of, mid life, and blower the doors of an S3 and taken the rubbish to the tip in the back!!! Anyway enjoy......

Did look at older cars but knowing my luck I would end up with a broken that will need thousands spent on it.
Same money I could have had an old Aston or Bentley but didn’t want the risk.
