Can be compared to the C7 version:

Honestly I think, the digital version has an advantege only if you have cooled seats or a four zone version, because I never use the temperature control on this system.
    Both ugly

I think, this is absolutely off topic here, de gustibus non est disputandum.

If you fit the 4 zone panel onto a 2 zone system you will get the temp dial on the mmi screen after cp removal and coding but you will also get non fully functioning zones and multiple errors logged.

That’s VERY interesting so replacing the controls alone will get the information displayed on the MMI? I am guessing the link between the controls and MMI however the information is sent is already there then?

Are the faults warning light faults (I cant imagine they are) or just DTC’s when a scan is completed? It may be worth me getting a second hand digital 4 zone, doing the coding and component protection then if this will get the display and controls working, then I can look at ways around either removing the 4 zone and creating a digital 2 zone system via some clever friends, or replacing the parts required to create a 4 zone system.

If you are confirming once component protection is completed and the coding is done the MMI will work and the controls will work with the existing system I will take a punt and buy a digital control

    Thanks
