Intermitently, I am getting a warning light on my virtual cockpit with 'vehicle lights fault contact workshop'. It also has a picture of the rear of the car. I have tested the lights. The only ones that do not seem to work are the ones in the bumper to the side of the rear fog lights. There is a strip of red rear lights in the rear bumper, one on each side. The innner aspect is the rear fog light but the outer aspect do not work in my car - not sure if this is normal and just a design feature? Anyone else had a similar warning light? Im planning on contacting Audi to get it checked.

    Hi there

sorry, not sure to be honest, but have you checked fuses etc in the boot which are connected to rear lights etc (always worth a shot)...

Once hooked upto a computer it will instantly point the fault out... by the sounds of it, doesnt sound anything major though..

    Good luck

    Andy

Just had my car in for exactly same fault, I have 3 dogs and mine was caused by hairs falling through the boot catch,
All they did was clean them out

Not sure exactly what they did, but fault returned yesterday after a week, and no dogs been in car,
just checked today and no fault coming up so far on dash, going to have to book it back in if it keeps happening

Interesting! I’ve had this warning message show up from new several times and have taken pictures. It’s been in three times now for that fault among others and they put it down to the fact I have a dash cam plugged into one of the rear 12v sockets.
