Hi - not sure exactly what type of light these are, LED or Xenon so ive taken some photos.
anyway the left hand side on is not working for the past few days. There is no indication on the dash that there is a problem.
assume i'll need to get a diagnostic done at least to figure out the problem, just thought i'd see if anyone had this problem before (am worried this could cost but has to be fixed)

thanks for reading - will keep posting what happens anyway.IMG_0585_LI.jpgIMG_0587.jpgIMG_0589.jpgIMG_0591.jpg

They are LED, standard if indicators flash, matrix if indicators sweep.

I assume the indicator that uses the same light strip is working ok, or is that dead too?

Am not sure how repairable the lights are, so will also watch with interest the cause and outcome of your issue.

Thanks for your reply. The rear indicators sweeps, but the front ones just blink so based on that, its just LED.
    The indicator is working fine.
I've called Audi and its €90 just for a diagnostics as its out of warranty (or i can get alternative one done for €50- non Audi). Think i'll go with Audi one for the sake of €40.

My understanding these are sealed for life so no user replaceable parts inside. Should outlive the car in theory.
Being a 15 plate and just out of warranty I will be pushing for some form of goodwill if it needs a new headlight especially at £1k+ each.

It would be cheap @£1K as they are over £1800 each, as above if your car has full Audi service history I would be pushing for goodwill.

Hi Would not think it is the light unit as the indicator is ok LED lights tend to use a voltage change to change colour so would expect it to be electronics, wiring to be the issue. Could even be a software issue as there is no indication via the MMI that there is a problem.

    Update:
Today it went to Audi for a diagnostic. When i arrived at there, i noticed on the reflection of their show window the light back on.. so must be an intermittent issue.
They ran the diagnostic but it didn't show any problem, so their solution was to swap the control units between both head lamps (bumper, wheel arch liner removal)... and see if the problem remains on the LHS or has moved with the controller to the RHS. €90 for diagnostics + 210 for swapping the controllers. They havent confirmed pricing on the controller but i think a new lamp is €2400...
Will update later when its resolved.

No problem since the control modules were swapped back in 2018. I hope this solution works for you also.
