Hi I’ve recently bought a vw crafter with issues, it’s a 2012 mwb 2.0 that goes into limp mode when you accelerate too hard and also has starting issues! It was plugged in and I was told it was the crankshaft sensor but in an effort to change it I broke the mounting, resulting in gearbox and flywheel removal and purchase of the tool to replace the crank oil seal that incorporates the sensor and timing ring. I’ve locked engine at tdc but cannot get the seal to align correctly, is there a difference in the crafter tool? I’ve tried moving the crank to the next tooth on the locking device but still no joy!! Any ideas folks? Cheers lewis

Thanks for the response crasher, I’ve been looking at the different tools this afternoon and as you are correctly diagnosing I’ve got the wrong tool for my engine so looks like another investment in another expensive alignment tool
