    Which AMI unit/module would work in 2006 S line Q7? Everything iv read seems to refer to 07 and up.

    Sorry, I'm familiar with the A8 and the A6 but not the Q7 but I believe that the 2006 Q7 uses an MMI 2G system.

    That being the case, it will be MOST based, so you can use the 4E0035785x unit - x can be anything, all the AMIs are the same. It's in a 'CD changer like' case and can either add to or replace a CD changer. [Not sure where they are in a Q7].

    You'll need an up-to-date MMI level - 3460 or later.

    Thanks the advice is much appreciated, I keep seeing the CAN AMI units on eBay for around £70, but they don't supply power through the ami port. The Q7 I just bought has a parrot installed, but I want to get rid if it if I can update to an MOST AMI unit that will work with a Bluetooth ami dongle. Just want to stream my tunes and take phone calls as I normally do in the van.
