My Q7 has air suspension and I was wondering if it is possible to lower the suspension to the 1st marker in the MMI. The lowest I have managed to get down to is the 2nd Marker when selecting dynamic mode. My mother-in-law is 5ft nothing and struggles to get in and out of the car 🙂. It has been tempting to set it to off-road but...

The other option I guess is running boards.

    Any ideas?

This is not as daft as it sounds but you could start in dynamic mode and then use the cargo lowering buttons in the boot to drop the rear really low, it helps for the rear door passengers.
I don’t know but I’m guessing that the lowest position is what the car drops to at high speed in dynamic mode.

I've had my car over a year now and I'd still like the answer to this too, coming from Range Rover's where there is a simple up/down button on the dash I can't believe Audi have designed it this way. My mum is short too and also suffers from PMR and struggles to get in my car....... I find it utterly ridicolous I can't quickly lower my car to the lowest possible height.

I looked through the manual for days, nothing you can do it really is a poor design.

Yeah you can lower with the cargo buttons to even lower but as soon as you drive off the car will raise to the second to lowest "bar" (e.g the one you see in Dynamic mode)

It can be done, but requires specialist coding to reset the ride heights (which I dont know/have btw) or you can buy a device to do it on your phone, but its pricey

Ouch at that price I hope it also comes with a set of purple neon lights for under the car and a couple of extra sub-woofers...

Seriously thought does seem daft there isn’t a way (or an Easter Egg) to make the car drop low for easy entry-exit without £ thousand. One nice touch my prior Land Rover had (normal suspension, electric seats) was the driver’s seat dropped to its lowest and back a bit to give you more space to get in when door was opened.

I'm sure there is an Easter Egg way of doing it... but it will need some datasets uploaded I imagine.. just another thing to figure out but basically OOTB... no, it can't be done.

I wondered if anyone had managed to solve this? I’ve just taken delivery of a q7 with air suspension and it’d be great to be able to make it lower itself when you’re getting in and out.

Ensure all doors are closed, engine off. In the cargo area use the lowering button to drop the suspension to bottom of travel. it goes way low. Open rear doors and let grandma in. Go back to cargo area and readjust suspention or just drive away and car will auto adjust.
