When I took my engine out I have a lot of pics of the RHS (as you look out of the car) but not the LHS. I have a rogue vacuum hose and need to work out the routing for the radiator coolant top hose.

Can someone remove the cover off of their engine and take a picture similar to below but for the other side. A few pics of the whole lot would be even more helpful!

Before someone says yes I have googled it, I need specifically this engine in this chassis though.

Edit: needs to be more specific! RHD, 3.0TDI, A4 B7. I have seen pics with the vacuum hoses set up opposite!

I took some photos of my B7 3.0 ASB last year and the layout should be very similar. Here's an overview photo and one of the left hand side. If it is helpful I can take a photo of something specific for you.

    Hope it helps

It’s this bugger that I don’t have connected! That is a massive help, thanks. Where does the other end go? I have it attached to the top of the engine, but I just have the barb where I have drawn the arrow and not the rubber connecting hose. Where does it go?!

If you could take a pic in between the throttle and the radiator to show where this circled hose goes. These are all that is stopping me starting it!

The first hose is tricky as it is inaccessible to trace by hand but by pulling and checking for movement it appears to be connected to this hose which disappears under the wing.

The second hose is pretty much shown in my earlier photo but here's a close up:

Awesome thanks. If it goes out into the wing the likelihood is that mine is still buried in the wing, I just need to find it!

I have the same question about the coolant hose. Have 3.0TDI ASB engine which I took out for chain replacement rerouted everything except the mentioned coolant hose. Only real option where i can route it is squished between engine and frame next to the AC pulley and power steering coolant lines which does not seem normal... Found online ELSA version and hard coolant line which comes from the engine is right underneath AC lines and the rubber hose cant be routed over them like in the picture (google: A19-10085) Secondly picture shows that it goes on the bottom part of the radiator but that is not accurate as well it is supposed to go to the top of radiator. Has anybody else had this issue or if you have ASB engine does the coolant line really is squished between engine and frame behind AC pulley?
