Looking for posts on ASI retrofit.

I know Andy posted details of the code-book he bought and the labour price charged by his local dealer to install Audi Smartphone Interface but even using advanced search, I can't find the thread/posts. I'm planning on having the ASI retrofitted when I have my 2nd service done in the next couple of weeks and want to compare prices from different dealers.
Would somebody point me to the correct thread?

Hey mate, I can't find the thread either but not sure if I posted it but I paid £250 inc VAT (give or take a couple of quid) for the booklet with the codes and dealer charged me £60 labour to install it via connection to Audi HQ.

Poole Audi have quoted me £336 and Southampton Audi have told me '..it's not something they or Audi can do...' this after I'd phoned So'ton Audi, as no response to my email yesterday (Poole responded within an hour) and So'ton Audi bounced me around 4 x different peeps before I got through to Mark in Parts.

Southampton have been good in the past but 'Abbey' didn't know what ASI stood for '...is that the camera?..' and Mark wasn't sure either. This after I'd twice explained it's an optional extra when ordering the car.

What dealer did you go to Andy?

Sounds about right for costs. In my situation dealer and I split the part cost and fitting was free as it was a grey area of whether he’d sold me the car with ASI in or not so we compromised. Cambridge Audi if you’re interested so they know how to fit configure it there. They said it was easy.

Lol, so if a dealer doesnt know it means they have never done one before and doesnt know that ASI now exists as a Retrofittable extra for cars that didnt come with it from factory

The "list" price for the booklet with the codes you need is £258, so anything on top is Labour+vat.

I've done it myself, it took me 15 minutes to enable a booklet so if a dealer charges you anything more than 1 hour, then its OTT.

My dealer was Five Oaks Audi in Horsham, Sussex.

Poole Audi will do it for £335 which I am accepting, as it means a no-hassle installation.
