    Hi
I have to remove my 4.2 litre v8 engine to replace timing chains and tensioners.
I know this is going to be a lot of work, and very expensive, but first- what is the best way to remove the engine, from the front, from the top or perhaps with the gearbox from underneath please.
I have many tools and my work is repairing combine harvesters, tractors and other farm machines so am quite experienced with mechanics and have access to some lifting equipment.
Any help and advice would be appreciated and I do not want to scrap the car which is otherwise in excellent condition.

Strip the front end off, hook it up to a crane and walk it out.
