    The cd's are around £3-5.

Just give the part numbers to the parts department and don't tell what they are other than CD's.

    like your style
when i gave the part number and said satnav discs, the swindon dealer came back at £196, then said i'd need to pay extra to have the MMI update as that was classed as service, not parts!!

    i'll try another dealer

i went back to the same dealer with the same part number - told him i thought the price should be c.£7, and he said he'd order them. Total cost £10.
Thank you to the advice on this forum - saved me £186

how did you get on with this?
what system were you upgrading from? did you get to 5570?

i went to collect my discs on saturday, but the parts departments were closed due to sickness, so they couldn't access the cages with the parts in, so one of their colleagues will be delivering it to me later today...

No probs, next time(for 3G) use sd card for sw update also, no point to burn or buy cd-s!

i've got my discs from the local dealer. part number 4LO 998 961 - 3 disc pack which should allow me to upgrade to 5570.....
just tried to run them in cd slot 1 in the dash. all other cds removed. satnav dvd was left in the boot reader.
i connected car to battery charger and also tried with engine running.
my current system appears to be 1110.
it takes the disc and processes it, then says:
    "MetaInfo cannot be analysed!"

so i can only cancel install.

    these are genuine audi discs..
i read that installs from version 6 to 27.5 need a 2 stage install using:

    First with Update CD 4F0 906 961AB and afterwards with Update CD 4L0 906 961 H.

but then found another update which suggests that using the latest discs means its possible to update with the 3 discs i have.

all radio/cds/satnav still work after aborted attempt.
the only other info i can find is on this thread where someone had the same issue and had to replace their cd changer. Attempting MMI 4610 Update - "MetaInfo cannot be analysed!"

does anyone have any suggestions please??

    thanks in advance.
