I need some help I previously had a full version of the vcds software on my old laptop with a non genuine lead, no problem at all.

However I've just brought a new windows 10 HP laptop, I sent the software over before selling the old one and now it won't detect the lead, I can see its at port 2 on the device manager.

Just to check if it was the software I downloaded the free lite version and no problem everything works just not on the full version.

Any help I'd be much appreciated I only use it for my polo and I have a few problems I need to fix desperately.

As you admit to using a non genuine lead I don't think you are entitled to assistance with your problem.

there's always one isn't there. It's like on Amazon where people are asked questions. If you got nothing helpful to say then don't bother posting

OP states non genuine lead in 1st post.
VCDS software is free, its the cable you pay for.
