    Hi All,

Quick question about engine compatibility. Looking at swapping my (2002) B5.5 tdi 130bhp AVF engine with 6 speed gearbox out of my Passat Sport which got hit in the rear quarter into a 2004 Highline 100bhp. I don't know much about the Highline - still enquiring. Would this be straightforward or is there something that will really snag? Wiring looms? Had a lot of work done to the AVF - full recon, new head, new turbo, new tandem pump, exhaust and cat. Any help for the foreseeable snags would be really helpful.

    Thanks.

The wiring harness has some subtle differences which mean you will have to change it and just about everything else, the AVB, AWX and the AVF have some major differences, even down to the front springs and brakes.

Get another AVF Sport then you've got all the spares in the world .

With a Highline you gain leather and heated front seats but they have soft Standard suspension , smaller wheels and hollow front ARB .
