    Hi all,
This is my first post and I’m hoping for some help.
Have been researching this problem for a while and I’m pretty convinced I have a problem with the high pressure fuel pump.

Very noticeable tapping sound coming from the back on the engine on the right side around the camshaft.
I have an error code for under boosting but I’m pretty sure that’s because I have a split pipe which I’m sorting.
Anyway the tapping, alway present on idle and low speeds at low rpms, once you put your foot down you can’t hear it. I also have a slight misfire on idle up till about 1500 rpm and the the misfire goes away. It’s just enough to shudder the car a tiny bit.
Any more info would be appreciated car is booked it a garage in a couple weeks

    d

    sounds very similar to this
