    True as the egr is a prerequisite to dpf regeneration but I'm sure some clever fellow can almost map it out for most of the time and make it active for regeneration .

    I meant path for exhaust gases could be clogged, nothing to do with coolant loop.
    Current cars:
    2007 Passat b6 2.0 tdi BMR DSG
    2011 Golf MK6 1.6 tdi CAYC 5 speed
