My 03 1.8T avant 190se stalled in traffic and now will not stay running, it’ll start once and run for 20 secs then die. It will cough and die on restart then will just crank over with no firing. First thought is fuel filter clogged or fuel pump is dead. Cant hear the pump priming with the back seat out.

    Any suggestions?

Try changing the fuel pump relay.

Pull it and check the terminals first, could be dirty just, mine were covered in that green stuff.
I don't think there's another one the same.

Yeah the infamous engine speed sensor, I changed mine at the last oil change, much easier when the oil fliter is off.
