So I accidentally and stupidly wiped the Air Suspension Control Unit with OBDEleven and now the car is booked in with Audi for the 20th to have it reprogrammed.

The car is warning me not to drive above 35mph but I want to find out if that warning is for safety reasons to prevent the car being damaged?

The handling isn't great because the air suspension is locked solid, and both the brake guard and adaptive cruise control are being offline.

Can you recode a module with obdeleven? If so do you not have an old scan to refer back to and re enter the coding?

Definitely can't be backed up or recorded like you can with a proper setup. The only option I have is taking it to Audi but given that that is ~10 days away, I just want to make sure I'm not going to damage the car by taking it on the motorway etc?

I think you will risk damaging the air struts hence why its asking/telling to stay below 35mph. If you had vcds, VAS, or odis you could re enter its coding and possibly also have to re adapt the system to the car.

If it’s like some retrofits. You will need to somehow get the canbus to recognise the module then recode the module. Some towbar modules are coded like this. Not sure how this is done.
If you’ve managed to corrupt/wipe the firmware/software on the air suspension module you are looking at a new module. This is probably why the dealer can’t sort it. They need to be able to communicate with the module to recode to factory settings. If they can’t then it’s fried. Don’t think it’s a cheap fix.
Just out of interest how did you delete the module with obd11?

You can still communicate with the module as you can play around with the air suspension with OBDEleven. It's just lost all the settings which I can't see in OBDEleven.

There is an option which says "Reset all Adaptations"... the best bit about all this is that I wasn't even trying to change anything around the air suspension. I had just got the module so was going through all the options and thought I was in a different menu... highlights my inability to multitask :-(

I think your audi ******* couldn't be ***** trying to fix it. If the module is still 'there' then pretty sure it can have a code added back to it. The module 34 is only a small string of numbers anyway. You will need to re-adapt the suspension so it sees the correct heights for the car, just the same way the headlight learn the new 'learnt' positions.
Find a retrofit place near you or someone with vcds and ideally ODIS

    What morski said.
If you can see the module all is not lost. If you did a scan before you started mucking about then just put the same codes back. Otherwise see if you can find someone with coding from their car and use that as your starting point, then maybe take to dealers and get them to do all the learning bits.
