So, we are currently swapping a BRD engine. The clutch and DMF on the old engine are less than 3000 miles old, so I would like to move this to the replacement engine...

Firstly, I was going to use new Flywheel bolts, and pressure plate bolts.

Is this a terrible idea? If so why?
Is it 100% necessary to reset the SAC?
Any suggestions or wisdom of doing the swap?

Yes, 100% replace the bolts. These are single time use. They are torqued to the limit of the bolt and are highly stressed, meaning if you reuse them they will elongate and weaken. There is no problem reusing the flywheel etc, but for the sake of about £10 why would you not replace the bolts?!?!

....unless you have a particular affiliation to 6000rpm steel frisbees being loose in the car....
