Audi also charge a fixed price of something like £1.25 / l for them to fill it.
They charged me £1.25 / l when I had my service a couple of weeks ago.

Well I just got a new tank full for £0/L from the dealer. But it did come with a new AdBlue system... :-)

I'm getting the adblue warning again, car was in for its first 9000ml service only a few weeks ago and for some strange reason Audi didn't top it up! I am quite surprised that this isn't a standard service item. They could have asked if I wanted it topping up. Anyway just bought 20l of the stuff off eBay for £17.59 incl free delivery.

Is it normal for Audi dealers not to check this and refill it during a service? Or do they take the view that it's a consumable, and it's the owners responsibility? Maybe I'm being a bit naïve, this is my first car with adblue so it's all a little new to me. 😀

If I’m honest I think it’s hit and miss....

First time mine went in, it was all topped up FOC.

Second time - I had to ask them to do it as they said would you like us to check and top up at £1.25/L

Third time they rang me as the warning came up whilst they had it - they topped up and didn’t charge

There doesn't appear to be any consistency between audi dealerships.. It's the way it's always been.. Brand is Audi...
But the rest is lost in incoherence somewherez.... :-0

The Audi service sheet specifically states to top up the AddBlue system ONLY if the customer requests it

That's another thing, when I checked the invoice they had charged over £100 for oil, I think they used Shell Helix (invoice not to hand at the moment) and when I googled it I could have got it for less than £30 - can I supply my own oil next time?

They might double the labor charges 🤪

Is the remaining £70 possibly inc the labor service or did that get covered under the service

Here we go, I have the invoice here, labour was extra!

They charged £104 labour to carry out the service, then there's a few sundries, filter, plug, washer etc. then £106.75 of Shell Helix charged at 6.1 x £17.50.... + the dreaded VAT.

I can get 6 litres for £38.90 (incl VAT) off Amazon without searching too hard.

Blimey there should be a law against this!

  5. Question Is it likely to be the flywheel causing the racket in my A4 2.0 TDI SLine multitronic?
