Hi,

I have the steering Torque Sensor Light on my dash after having my front wheels aligned. The had to heat up the nut of the track rod end to adjust it so I'm not sure if it damaged the sensor or not.

I've just come out of the garage after having some work done and the garage can't figure it out as to why it's still on.

The code that keeps coming up is
00573 - Steering Torque Sensor (G269)

It's had:
Front NS wheel bearing replaced (hub I take it)
Both ball joints,
Both driveshafts done,
Wheels realigned and balanced
Track rod end replaced,
As well as my tensioner and belt and cam belt and water pump done.

They told me the sensor value are changing on moving the steering wheel, not sure if I believe them or not. But they can't figure out what it is.

I have changed the fuse and reset the light and so have the garage. It will turn off after resetting it but soon as the ignition goes off then on its back again.
The garage said whilst they had it, it went red from orange for a while.

I have no problems with power steering at all, I do have a slight grinding but only very minor around 35 and upwards at time under acceleration, soon as I take my foot off the accelerator it stops. When I'm at 62-68 it grinds really bad but then drives out too, not sure if that's replated or not but the garage can't figure it out.

Any help would be so appreciated thank you.
