    Hi all,

Has anyone come across this as I have not come across this with any of my previous VW's so thinking it's just one of those Mk 4 gremlins, which is annoying.

Only just recently I'm having issues with the car not starting. The weird thing is, it looks like it's the dash/electrical which is causing the issue (i think).

Sometimes i go to the car, put the key into the ignition and all the dash symbols light up (i mean every single one) but there is no digital display at the bottom (no clock, no mileage showing, nor the red display). When this happens the car will turn over but will not start. I can fiddle around for anywhere between 10 -45 mins then all of a sudden the digital displays light up and boom... the car starts first time. I can go out, sometimes it will cause a problem, and other times like last night when we popped out, it went off, and came back on after about 10 mins.

Anyone encountered these issues before and can point me in the right direction or where to resolve it as I am baffled?

    Thanks all

Battery is fine and full of charge as pretty new, so not sure why the digital display disappears, then comes back on, goes off if left for periods of time.

When the dash plays up and the engine won’t start, does it just crank over and over or does it start and cut out?
