While we were out enjoying the weather yesterday driving around the southcoast in our Crafter Camper (2012) the "Radiator" symbol came up on the dash in red , so i pulled over and it seamed it was loosing water so i topped up the expansion bottle and the light went out so we made our way home. We stopped each time the light came on and topped the water up and got home all well and good. However, this morning it wont turn over and when i turn the key it sounds like the battery is flat although it is fully charged. The engine model is a 2.0 cr35. Any one have any ideas whats up ?

where was the water going to in order for you to keep topping it up? was there an obvious external leak, if not, then suspect the egr cooler was leaking internally. has the coolant level dropped overnight and was low again this morning? can you turn the engine over by hand by turning the crank pulley or barring over the flywheel. I suggest you do not try to start it again until you have found where the coolant has gone or you confirm the engine can be barred over, as you may have a cylinder filled with coolant and the engine is hydraulically locked.

We spent a while under it this morning and we are 95% sure it is the egr exchanger thingy as that were the water all seams to be. The engine turns over by hand just fine. We pulled the starter motor and that was burnt out so it seams we have two problems , one being the starter motor and the other the egr
Time to go shopping me thinks and go from there
