Sorry to ask what I suspect is a fairly subjective question.

Do I try and find an installer for the f800pro or just settle for the f770 from the RAC

    After this happening

I’d like to get something sorted

Ps I use airports a lot so standby parked for 24-36 hours would be ideal.

    Cheers

    Andy

Ive let my F770 (hardwired in, front & rear) on default settings at many airport car parks and tend to find it switches off after 2 days or so, due to low battery threshold. Probably depends where I park i.e. amount of movement, as its set to record motion rather than time lapse continuous. And I’ve not pushed the voltage threshold down either.

What I would be really interested in and you may be is if anyone has fitted an inline backup batter to provide extra life to the unit. I believe such things exist from other manufacturers of dash cams.

Had my f800pro fitted today by chameleon on the drive. Front and rear with the ivolt battery.

Based on the amps I reckon the battery is circa 4-5 days but will test once I’ve driven it and charged, which apparently takes around 45 mins

One thing I was surprised at is the position in the rear window, it’s around 4 inches from the top of the rear screens which from the outside is fine, however I. The rear view mirror I can see annoying me

Any real life positioning shots I can see? I’ll take some Tuesday

My rear cam (for the 770 is it the same?) was done by the same firm and tucked neatly right up against the top lip of the screen in the centre. Pictures attached.

He said that if it’s high it catches the spoiler, perhaps because he set it up without the software it’s easier.. I’ll be relocating it Tuesday :-)
