In the mmi there’s air con settings and you can select rear. That basically makes the front buttons controls the back for a short period.

Thanks, that's how I fixed it in the end when I realised the fan was blowing faster than normal. Now I know about the SYNC button I can prod that anytime the little blighters have been in the back.

I'd quire happily have my stop-start permanently disabled.

Get a friendly person with VCDS to do for you. You can change the car to remember the last setting, as opposed to forgetting each time you switch engine off and also reverse the light. So much better without it on

You can do all that stuff with OBDEleven too, and it's a hell of a lot cheaper than VCDS.

Yes that's why I said get a friendly person to do it for you i.e. free

If you are buying one yes I wouldn't buy VCDS any more...
