Further to the thread where I had damp in the ECU box that was causing all manner of problems.

I stated on there that the problem was solved, when I when back the the car, the problem was back, cleared the codes only for the problem to come back the following day, cleared the codes and it was fine again.

It then dawned on me that the ECU still had the fault in it's memory and I had to clear the codes, run the car, then repeat until the ECU memory caught up with the repairs, which it has since done.

Basically if you ever have to remove an ECU and the same fault recurs after replacing try constantly clearing the codes and then driving first, rather than worrying the fix has not worked.

I put this information in a new post incase someone had the same issue but with an inrelated repair
