Anyone know of a kit that will give me 25 to 40mm on s-line without going down coilovers route?
Hi,
You need to first figure out exactly which suspension setup you have currently. The build sticker in the wheel well of the boot (or inside the service book) will tell you. Look for one of the following codes on the sticker:
1BA, 1BE or 1BV
1BA = Dynamic Suspension - standard on SE but an option you could select for S line
1BE = Sports Suspension (20mm drop) - standard on S line
1BV = S line Sports Suspension (30mm drop) - a no-cost option you could select when ordering S line cars, but not fitted as standard
If you currently have 1BA (unlikely but possible) you could get a 20mm or 30mm drop by switching to the 1BE or 1BV components. If you currently have 1BE (which I assume is most likely) the obvious choice is to buy and fit the 1BV springs, shock absorbers and bump stops. If you already have 1BV then you're looking at a non-standard solution.
Cheers!
