    Hi Guys,

Is anyone able to help me out, i'm looking to replace the brake lines on the front of the car.

Long story short the hex nut is pretty much gone after trying to blow torch that little sucker off so I need to bin the whole thing and replace.

The caliper is off the car and I have replacement brake hoses so I was looking to see what route the line takes and the length needed. I am looking to replace this myself so anyone know if it's doable or best to take it to a garage ? It can't move from my drive at the moment unless I tow it so I was looking to avoid this if possible.

    Thanks!

If you have the correct brake lines they should just fit to the original mounting points when installing

    Hi,

    No it's not # 19 but but # 3.

I understand they need to be flared so I have someone who can make them for me but I need to see if the old lines can be removed and what length they need to be.

    Thanks!

You need to remove it and measure the length with a piece of string then cut a straight piece to suit then either flare it yourself or get your local garage to make it.

Seems like a pain to remove. From under the wheel arch it goes further inside , seems like under the engine bay and it makes it really hard to see where. I tried to follow the line from the reservoir but that also disappears so I think I’ll just need to tow it to the garage.

    Thanks for the help guys.
