    Hi folks,

I'm experiencing a hiss under partial load which seems to go under full load or I just cant hear it under the sound of the engine.

The car seems to boost properly and pulls very well. I had a specialist (Central VW) investigate the issue and they replaced the offside boost pipe, DPF gasket/clamp, EGR pipe and various other gaskets but unfortunately the hiss is still present and I'm £320 lighter. They checked the turbo compressor for play and even carried out pressure test and said it's holding boost.. The sound is definitely coming from the turbo region.

Any idea of the main culprits on the CFFB engine? Wastegate/ actuator? I'm going to strip down the system and see if I can spot anything irregular.

    Appreciate any advice.

    Car: 2012 GOLF MK6 DSG 52,000 miles.

After what you have already spent you should leave it alone.
    When it goes it goes.
    At this point £320 wasted.

LOL I'll just keep the volume up then..

I've got a few things to check before calling quits and setting the damn thing on fire.

Recon turbo's are not that expensive if it comes down to that.

check the egr cooler actuator, mine was leaking, its at the back of the engine under turbo, also at the same time my boost pipe was escaping out the aluminium moldings, replaced it for £23
