Hoping that some of you savvy mechanics may have some idea on this one. My A6 Avant has recently started to experience a problem when accelerating. It only happens when I am in low gears (2 &3) and always happens around town when I am driving slowly. For instance, I'll be driving along in 3rd at about 25mph and a car will slow in front of me. Rather than braking I'll lift my foot off the accelerator and slow down. When I then push down on the accelerator there is no response and I have to lift off and kick down on the accelerator - it then responds but you'll experience a judder as it's like the car has lost power. Similarly, if I change down it also happens. There are no problems at higher speeds.
I can't find a pattern other than this. At first I thought it was a drop in the revs but this isn't always the case (thought I may have a leaking hose or something - lack of pressure).
    Any ideas anyone?
    Thanks

Is the car manual or CVT?

Have you had it on VCDS, or a decent code scanner?

Its manual and no, its not been on a scanner yet. When I took it to a local mechanic he seemed to shrug it off. Not helpful!

First things first, get it on a scanner. And that will give an idea if its boost etc related.
