That is very true, one man's medicine is another's poison. Probably the ideal solution is to find a car (friend, test drive) with similar - or ideally identical - tyres and see for yourself, but that is a lot of hassle. In the past I had Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance on another, smaller car, and they were brilliant, hence the Goodyears F1 on my A6, but with mixed results. Good luck with your search, and let us know what you find.

I have been running in a new set of Googyear Assymetric 3 tyres size 255/35/20 for the past 3 weeks after swapping over from winter wheels. I have been quite happy with the so far in terms of noise and handling. I had been looking at tyres over the winter and was looking for an alternative to the P Zero's and thought either the Gooyears or the Michelin Pilot 4S looked good. So far it seems all good though they are still pretty new hope you manage to find a set of tyres that you are happy with.

I have just taken my winter ones off and had to replace my front ones with a new set . I have on the back Kumho types and now have the same on the font too. Just my luck that here in Leiecster we have had a cold snap again and the temp has been below 7c do not seen the best temps to jungle them by. But where happy with them on the back and hopefully can give a proper review one the weather picks up and they can come in to there own . How do others find there summer tires below 7c . the weather ones I have are Dunlop and they where great so compliant with the road.

For the past few years we’ve had a cold snap right after I shove the summers back on. Think it was last year we had a bit of frost and snow the day after I put the summers on. Figured there’s no real perfect timing for changing them over as our weather is so changeable from one day to the next.
The Michelin’s weren’t bad in the cold weather but did notice grip levels in rain and snow nowhere to be as good as the winters but like most a slight adjustment to driving keeps you going.

Yes that's just what we have had now and really notice that the car tramlines because the tires are working at under 7c. with the winter they just love and work great in the cold ..... the funny thing was that I have been putting it off until I was sure the weather was changing for the better.......

I use to run assymetric 2 on my 2011 CC GT, never really liked them as they wore quickly and very noisy too.

Michelin Pilot Super sport 4s are quite popular within C7 community. Vreds are the best IMO as midrange tyres if you don't want to spend too much on premium tyres
