Again I know what the logs say and if it walks like a duck it usually is. However its mine now and I intend looking after it as best I can and returning it to its former glory
Yep, we never know etc...anyway, if you remove wheel housing liner, you see sensor, so to say front of the car, maybe just bad sensor or faulty wiring!

    Few ideas…
    1. Get a repair manual(you get pinouts from there etc)
2.Airbag control module is under center console, crash sensor wires are running there.
4.Generator error, might be related to one wire, which runs to gateway(if my memory correct, it has happened on others also)
3.Check alternator output vs 13,7 on battery.
4.If still oem battery, 8 years is plenty, no harm if you replace
5.Few years back was one idiotic case here "black tape", so if you switch ignition on and no airbag light, check your cluster also, never know those idiots!
6.As we dont know the history, i would check drivers airbag also, better safe then…..

Thanks again I’ll come back when I’ve delved a bit further.
If your battery has oem(by oem in previous post, i ment still from fractory 2010) battery part number sticker and bem code with barcode, which you can scan with phone app etc, my quess would be, in that case it is still factory one, as looks like previous owner only care about a dirty sale.

Edit: Generator "tiny" linbus wire 0,35(purple-blue) will run to gateway pin2!

This car price was I guess low. Anyway, most of steering retros and repair manual also advising to disconnect a battery!
