    Hi,
after couple of months of using A6 C7 facelift (2015) I have few questions. I hope its better to ask them all here instead of 2 new threads.
    1. Is it possible to adjust speed when Start/stop system switches on. Now it turns on even when the car is till rolling, like 3km/h and that is a bit strange, its not like the car came to complete stop. Or maybe if its possible to adjust amount of time to pass after stop. Cause now it turns on right after I stop even for couple sec.
So I wonder if its possible to adjust these settings, make like 10 sec delay before turning engine of. Its getting annoying when it starts stop every 5 meter in a traffic.

    2. Also is it possible to keep MMI screen hidden and show it only after push of a button? So that when I start the car its hidden and comes out only when I want.

    1. It does this on mine too. I used OBDeleven to switch the start/stop function so it's initially off until I press the button. I never use start/stop though unless I'm sat in a jam.

    1. No. The facelift has an extremely aggressive stop start to achieve the emmision goals. There’s a button on the dash to stop it going. Or you can use vcds to reverse the switch so it only comes on if you turn it in with the button. I read somewhere that the new c8 can trigger stop start at 15kmh.

    2. Mmi screen in mine seems to keep the memory of its last state so if I turn off the car with it closed when I start again it’s closed.
The screen will open when you reverse so don’t put stuff on top of it.

I know about the button I would like to keep that on just adjust the wait time so if am am sitting at the lights for say 5-10 sec the turn of. Now its like i stop to get in to reverse gear and it shut down already.
I dont think its healthy neither for a car or the enviroment such stop start cycles.

Will try the close the screen when parked to see if it opens next time I start. It just I always reverse park so...

Hi Have had a play with this today. 2015 FL Tech Pack. Closed MMI with button went for a drive inc reversing, during which the screen opened then closed once moving forward. Stopped turned off, locked the car, opened it up, turned on and screen pops up. So no memory for that. I am assuming that may be correct from locked to locked, as if at a new startup there is any info for the driver the screen is up to display it. Could it be that it memorises it if the car is not locked as only locking the car again would complete a cycle, ( i.e. from no power to no power again). Is this helping or confusing the question posted ???

    Hi,

Did you use the "close screen" button or did you press and hold the volume knob to completely power off the MMI?

Hi MFGF. Closed screen using the button at the side of the dash. Did not know about the volume button option.

Tried closing, driving and parking, still opened next time I started the car.
turning off mmi is not an option, will have radio, music, navigation on.
