All typical rust blebs. You should see the chassis legs on some 4F’s, I saw a 2009 last week which I would say will have holes in the rear legs within a year or two. Modern cars are not built to last, very environmentally sensible.....

Mine is a 2005 saloon, so far no rust and underside good too.

Going to get it up on a ramp again soon and give it a good check over having seen this.

It's a bit of a shock when you discover something like this as it's not really possible to fix long term unless isolated to parts that you can replace.

I see some trully horrific sights under modern VAG cars, not since the late 70's have I seen them rust like that

I did not expect that Audi can rust like this. When I first time saw B5NUT A6 I had checked mine as well, but so far everything is clear

I was doing a first service on a six month old A4 today and the rear floor is much better protected than I have seen over the last ten years and the Golf 7 is the same, thick rubberised floor coatings, like int gut olde days of Golf 2

I’ve got a 55 plate and it’s not rusting at all. I’m amazed there can be such a variation.

    55plate Audi A6 Avant. 3.0Tdi S-Line Quattro.
